County and Purchase Area 4-H Communications Contest Winners Announced

Marshall County was well represented in the first ever virtual Purchase Area 4-H Communications Contest conducted in early May. After qualifying in a virtual county event in mid-April, Larissa Holt and Zoey Ramsey competed in the area event.

Larissa competed in the 14-15 Year Old Mock Job Interview category. She not only won blue and champion at the county but area level as well. She will be competing in the virtual Kentucky 4-H Communications Contest Mock Job Interviews on July 10th.

Zoey did an Animal Sciences Senior Demonstrations called “Are You Kiddin’ Me?” Her demonstration video on how to prepare and take care of goats during the kidding season received blue and champion on the county and area level. Her demonstration video will be judged in the next two weeks for the state competition.

Results of the Kentucky 4-H Communications Contest will be announced in a special Kentucky 4-H Virtual Celebration via Facebook Live on July 21st.

Marshall County 4-H is proud of Zoey and Larissa for tackling the 4-H Communications Contest during these unprecedented times.
