Mr. John Samuel Carey, 95 of Hardin, KY died on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at his home. He was retired from the Carpenter’s Union, Chicago, IL and was a veteran of the Royal Navy.Born Saturday, July 5, 1924 in Mansfield, England, he was the son of the late Samuel Carey and the late Hilda (Wilcokson) Carey.
Surviving are daughters, Pat Lynch of Hardin, KY and Audrey Boyan of Hardin, KY, 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Fox) Carey.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, January 24, 2020, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
Private graveside service will be held at Maple Springs Cemetery.
