Mrs. Wanda Atnip Thompson, age 91 of Calvert City, KY passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.
Born Thursday, September 13, 1928 in Creal Springs, IL, she was the daughter of the late Lon Everett Atnip and the late Rosa (Potter) Atnip. She the wife of the late John Lee Thompson. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Calvert City Church of Christ.
Surviving are one daughter, Diane Reed of Benton, KY, two sons, Daryl Thompson of Benton, KY and Don Thompson of Calvert City, KY; one sister, Ann Harper of Springfield, MO; six grandchildren, Josh Thompson, Jody Thompson, Julie Holland, Johnna Reed Hite, Levi Thompson, Daniel Thompson; five great grandchildren, Isaac Holland, Alayna Holland, Ryan Holland, Vivian Thompson and Kennedy Hite.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 65 years; two brothers, Cletus Atnip and Byron Atnip.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 27, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Lance Cordle will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
Friends may visit with the family after 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2019 until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
