Six wins, six shutouts for Lady Marshals

The Lady Marshals improved to 6-1-1 following their 4-0 win Tuesday at home over Hopkinsville. This was also their sixth shutout of the season. Three goals in the first half came from Carmen Gunn on an assists from Kallen Fuller, Gunn again assisted by Hope Howard and Janie Pagel with the third for a 3-0 lead at halftime.

Mia Teague scored the fourth goal in the second half on an assist from Hope Howard. The Lady Marshals out shot Hopkinsville 20-6. Keeper Carlen Whirley had four saves and has tied the program record with her 24th shutout.

Marshall County will play at Madisonville-North Hopkins on Thursday, JV starts at 5:30 followed by the Varsity game at 7:00. The Lady Marshal Classic takes place Friday and Saturday at Colburn Field. The JV and Varsity Lady Marshals play Anderson County Friday at 6:00 and 7:30. Saturday, Anderson County and Ohio County play a JV/Varsity match at 10:00 and 11:30 and the Lady Marshals meet Ohio County for a JV/Varsity match at 5:00 and 6:30.
