Semi tractor trailer overturns and causes road closure at US641 and Murray Hwy.
Larry A. Burmeister, age 52, of Charlotte, Iowa, was making a right turn from US641(south) onto US641(Main St) when the load shifted in the trailer of the semi he was operating, which contributed to it overturning on it’s left side. Burmeister was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. Benton Police Officer Trent Weaver investigated the collision and was assisted at the scene by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, Benton Fire Department, and Marshall County EMS.
This road closure is estimated to last until around noon on Friday. A detour onto Murray Hwy. has been established.
