According to the State Board of Elections, all voters must produce identification or be known by a precinct officer prior to voting. Acceptable types of ID are personal acquaintance of precinct officer, driver’s license, Social Security card, county issued identification card approved in writing by the State Board of Elections, U.S. government-issued identification card, Kentucky state government-issued identification card with picture, credit card, or another form of ID containing both picture and signature.
In General Elections, voters may choose to vote for candidates of any party regardless of the voters registered political affiliation. Voting a “straight ticket” for either Republican or Democrat will exclude the voter from voting for an Independent candidate or writing in a candidate for any office.
Residents should also be aware that ALL Marshall County voters will vote on all three county commissioner races, regardless of the district you live in.
If you are in need of a ride to your polling station, the Marshall County Republican Party and the Democratic Party are offering free rides.
