Work Zone Shoulder Restriction along I-69 from 69mm to 71mm near Lyon-Caldwell County Line starts at Noon Today

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans a work zone with a shoulder restriction along a section of Interstate 69 near the Lyon-Caldwell County Line starting TODAY.

Motorists should be alert for a work zone shoulder restriction along I-69 in Lyon County between the 69 mile marker and 71 mile marker starting around Noon, today.   This work zone will include a shoulder restriction to allow milling and repaving of the shoulder area, along with guardrail work.

This shoulder and guardrail work is to improve roadway drainage in an area where several crashes have been attributed to hydroplaning.

This work zone is expected to be active on weekdays during daylight hours through about August 22nd.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
