(KYTC) – Motorists need to be aware the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans short lane restrictions on Interstate 24 in the I-24/Purchase Parkway Exit 25 Interchange work zone Wednesday and Thursday. Spokesman Keith Todd says motorists traveling I-24 through the Exit 25 Interchange in Marshall County should be alert for short lane restrictions at various locations between 9:00am and 3:00pm, each day, to facilitate installation of overhead truss systems for sign installation.
Motorists should also be alert for slowing and merging traffic in the work zone between the 24 and 28 mile marker near Calvert City.
Todd says appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway close to traffic flow.
