On July 31 at 7:43pm, SGT. Tim Reynolds was dispatched to a disturbance on Wadesboro Road South. As a result of the ensuing investigation, Devin Lynn Thompson age 27 of Benton, was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Assault 4th Degree. He was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
On July 27th, Captain Brett Edwards investigated a burglary on Knox Drive. According to the report, Nick Ambrose reported the theft of a golf cart from his garage. The golf cart is described as black and 2004 model. Brand unknown. The investigation is continuing.
