Westbound work zone on I-24 Tennessee River bridge on Tuesday

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict westbound traffic to one lane
on Interstate 24 at the Tennessee River Bridge on Tuesday, June 6.

Westbound traffic on I-24 will be restricted to one lane at about the 30-mile marker
to facilitate an inspection of the new expansion joint recently installed on the
I-24 Tennessee River Bridge.

Westbound motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach
the 30-mile marker. All traffic will move to the left-hand or passing lane in this
work zone.

This workzone for westbound traffic is expected to go up about 7 a.m. It is
expected to remain in place until mid-afternoon.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel
are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
