george heater obitGEORGE W. “G.W.” “DUB” HEATER, 84, of Calvert City, Kentucky passed away at 11:45PM, Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Calvert City Convalescent Center.

G.W. or Dub as many know him was born between the rivers and graduated from Kuttawa High School. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Calvert City. He formerly worked for 17 years at Carbide, and then later retired from General Tire.

He is survived by his daughter, Diane Lietzau and her husband Richard of Austin, TX; his son, Glenn Heater of Calvert City, KY; two grandchildren, Katy Lietzau and her husband Tom Street of Austin, TX and Rich Lietzau of Houston, TX; his brother, Carl Ray “Shine” Heater and his wife Barbara of Grand Rivers, KY and one nephew, Carl Heater, Jr of Huntsville, AL.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Lou Shaw Heater and his sister, Frances Hill. His parents were George W. Heater and Opal Gregory Heater.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM Monday, September 26, 2016 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. Bro Jim Ewing will officiate and burial will follow in the Calvert City Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00AM until the funeral hour Monday, September 26, 2016 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home.
