On Thursday March 31st Deputy William Strader was dispatched in reference to a vehicle driving recklessly westbound on US Hwy 68 W. The callers stated the vehicle was swerving into oncoming traffic. Deputy Strader located the described vehicle and observed the vehicle swerve into the opposite lane twice. Deputy Strader conducted a traffic stop and upon contact with the subject a strong smell of alcohol was present. Located in the front passenger floor was a 12pk of beer with only 4 remaining. The subject stated he had approximately drank 4 alcoholic beverages. The Field Sobriety Test was given in which many indicators were present for being under the influence. Bradley D. Profitt 53, of Powderly, KY, was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence and Operating on a Suspended or Revoked Operators License.
