PADUCAH – On January 2nd, 2016 at 5:30 PM, deputies responded to the intersection of US 45 and Lebanon Church Road for a reported 2 vehicle accident.
Investigation showed that 39 year old David Blair of Calvert City was operating a 2004 Lexus when he attempted to turn left onto Lebanon Church off of US 45. Blair turned into the path of 73 year old Nancy Tapscott of Paducah who was operating a 2006 Honda north on US 45.
Tapscott struck Blair on the passenger side sending both vehicles spinning into the ditch. Blair was transported to an area hospital for what appeared to be non-incapacitating injuries. Blair was also cited for operating his vehicle with a suspended license.
Deputies were assisted on scene by Lone Oak Fire Department, Mercy Regional EMS, Larry Meadows Towing, and Speedy’s Towing.
