CALVERT CITY – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans milling and paving along KY 1523 in the Calvert City area of Marshall County starting Monday.
The paving project along the Industrial Parkway in Calvert City runs from mile point 0.0 at US 62 and extends northward to Main Street in Calvert city, a distance of 4.3 miles.
This is the “west leg” of the parkway that connects with US 62 West of Calvert City KYTC says motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Jim Smith Contracting of Grand Rivers is the prime contractor on this $601,705 highway improvement project. The work is expected to take about a week to complete, weather permitting.
