Outdoor Kids’ Fest at Woodlands Nature Station

Woodlands Nature Station welcomes kids of all ages to the Outdoor Kids’ Fest over the Labor Day Weekend, inside Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. Volunteer Janet Laird is pictured assisting with a craft project.

The Friends of Land Between the Lakes invites you to bring the family to Woodlands Nature Station during Labor Day Weekend for Outdoor Kids’ Weekend, a kid-friendly foray into some basic but important outdoor and camping skills. From learning about the opossums you might see in your backyard to practicing your fishing skills, we’ll learn some new ways to enjoy the outdoors. Now with extended hours: 10:00 am – 7 pm on Saturday, September 4, and Sunday, September 5, and 10:00am-5pm on Monday, September 6, at the Woodlands Nature Station inside Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, 3146 Silver Trail Road, Cadiz, Kentucky, 42211. Admission is $7 for ages 18 and up, $5 for ages 5 – 17 and free for ages 4 and under.

1:00pm – 3:00 pm – Make Your Own Walking Stick
2:00pm – 4:00 pm – Go Fish!

3:30pm – 4:00pm – Crafty Coyotes
4:30pm – 4:50 pm – Parade of Raptors
