Marshals finish first at Franklin-Simpson Invitational

Wins are piling up for the Marshals golf team with two more this past week. Tuesday they defeated McCracken County 143 to 176 in a match at Benton Golf and Country Club and on Saturday, they won the Franklin-Simpson Invitational at Franklin Country Club with a team score of 291.

Camdyn McLeod led the Marshals with the low round in both matches. Against McCracken County, he shot 32 to take first. Team scores following McLeod – Trey Wall 36, David Jack Morris 36, Hayden Powell 39 and Paxton Carter 41. Playing as individuals, Gunner Hoover and Ryan Stokes both shot 39.

McLeod led the Marshals in the Franklin-Simpson Invitational win with a 1-under round of 70 to takes second place. Morris fired an even-par 71, Wall 1-over 72, Stokes 78 and Hoover 81.

The Marshals will play a match on Tuesday against Caldwell County at Princeton Country Club.
