Mayfield, KY (September 17, 2019) –At approximately 8:45a.m. , Post 1 received a call of a two vehicle injury accident on US 45 at Fowler Rd in Graves County KY. When Post 1 units arrived, they determined the operator of a motorcycle involved was fatally injured. The initial investigation shows Bobby Spiceland was operating a 2007 GMC Pick Up. Spiceland pulled out from Fowler Rd, onto US 45. Spiceland entered into the travel path of a motorcycle that was north on US45 and had the right of way. The motorcycle was determined to be operated by David E. Jones, 53, of Mayfield KY. Jones was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Graves County Coroner. Jones was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
The investigation continues by Reconstructionist Sergeant James Phelps. KSP was assisted on scene by Mayfield Fire/EMS and the Graves County Coroner’s Office.
