Savannah Howell, incoming sophomore member of the Lady Marshals golf team, won the Florence Paxton Memorial Ladies Golf Tournament at Rolling Hills Country Club by one stroke over McCracken County’s Jessica Stephens.
Howell led going into Sunday’s final round and found herself down by one stroke to Stephens with three holes to go, but a birdie/bogey swing on hole #16 gave Howell the upper hand by one stroke and she held on to finish with the win.
Howell’s two-day total of 151 gave her the title over Stephens with 152 and Marshall County alum and WKU golfer Bailey Tyree finished third with 154.
