This week’s Lyles Eye Center Team of the Week is both the Marshall 1 and Marshall 2 Special Olympic basketball teams who just finished up their seasons last weekend in Louisville at the March Magic State Tournament.
The Marshall 1 team finished State Runner-up earning a Silver Medal with their 11-5 win over the Louisville Cheetahs. They defeated Pillar Eagles 20-16 to advance to the title game. Marshall 1 finishes the season with a record of 9-11.
The Marshall 2 team lost their opening game 34-28 to the Stride Cardinals and finish their season at 14-3.
The teams are coached by Jonny Byrd, Matt Fountain and Noah Steele.
