Continuing their successful cross country season, the Marshals placed second in Saturday’s McCracken County Invitational behind first place Daviess County with third going to Madisonville North Hopkins. Muhlenberg County’s Jonah Mitchell took the individual win in a field of 186, finishing the 5k course in 16:26.95.
Mason Cosner led the Marshals with a seventh place finish in 17:24.82 followed by seventh grader Ethan McCarty in 10th in 17:46.68.
Daviess County took the girl’s team win, Apollo placed second, Graves County third and Marshall County took fifth. Breanna Alderton of Owensboro won with a time of 18:56.78. Alexia Minter led Marshall County finishing with a time of 21:27.64.
Marshall County will host the Regional cross country meet on October 28th.
