Lady Marshals fourth at Bowling Green Invitational

Hallie Riley led the Lady Marshals with a 3-over 75 in their fourth place finish at Bowling Green Saturday.

Playing Saturday in the Bowling Green Invitational, the Lady Marshals finished fourth in a field of 18 teams and a 3-over round of 75 by Hallie Riley was good for fifth place overall. Two players tied for medalist honors with 2-under par 70’s – Lizzie Loy from Russell County and Faith Martin from South Warren.

The team from Sacred Heart took first with a team score of 321, Russell County second (324), Ryle third (332) and Marshall County fourth (344).

Behind Riley’s 75 team scores came from Savannah Howell (86), Megan Hertter (87), Kennadi Spraggs (96) and Kenley Luksic (98).

On Thursday, September 2nd, the girl’s team played a match at Calvert City Country Club hosted by Christian Fellowship. Medalist honors went to both Luksic and CFS player Maddie Ortt, each shooting 41. Also playing for the Lady Marshals – Howell (42), Katie Stokes (42), Spraggs (46), Sydney Phillips (50), Elsie Riley (56) and Leah Vincent (58). Trigg County’s Alex Etheridge shot 50.

Marshall County’s boys shot 178 to win the match over Trigg County (184) and CFS (219). Jay Nimmo was medalist of the match with a round of 40 with team scores coming from Drake Butler (41), Nick Dowdy (48) and Teddy Wynn (49).

The next Marshall County match will be at Benton Country Club with the boy’s and girl’s teams hosting Murray. Christian Fellowship will play at Calvert City Country Club on Monday in a match against Fulton County and Graves County.
