Gas prices rise ever-so-slightly throughout our area

Average retail gasoline prices in Kentucky have risen 2.3 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.43 a gallon Sunday, according to GasBuddy.

This compares with the national average that has increased 2.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.38 a gallon.

Including the change in gas prices in Kentucky during the past week, prices yesterday were 33.2 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 20.3 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.

The national average has increased 16.8 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 41.8 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.

In the Lakes Area, prices are ranging from $2.10 to $2.35 a gallon.
