DRAFFENVILLE – Marshall County’s Marching Marshals wrapped up marching band camp Friday with a sneak-peak performance of their show for family and friends.

The 86-member band will perform this year’s show titled “Zodiac” at halftime during Friday night home football games and competitions throughout the season.

“We open up with Sagittarius, which is the archer, then we go into our slow piece which is Gemini, the sign of twins, with a lot mimicking back and forth”, MCHS Band Director Ronnie Payton said. “After that we move into Scorpio which will be our more aggressive piece with a lot of percussion in it and then we end with Libra which is the scales and will be a balance of things on the field.”

Peyton said the kids are excited about the music and seem to like the concept. The Marching Marshals will also debut new uniforms this season.
