On Sunday evening, December 19, 2021, David Nelson Seay, loving husband of Debbie Elliott Seay and son of Patsy and the late Charles Seay, passed away at the age of 60 years old.
David was born on November 26, 1961 and joined his sister, Rhonda Seay and brother, Dale Seay on the family farm in Lynnville, Kentucky. He was a positive and loving child who attended Cuba School and graduated from Sedalia High School in 1979.
David loved being in nature and spent his entire life working on the farm. He was always giving his whole heart to his family, friends and anyone in need. David was a wonderful dad to Charity, Candice and Christa. He was a role model and loving grandfather to Ella, Emerson, Eli, Ty, Adley, Andi-Jane, Jude David, Jase and Jax. He made a positive impact on this world.
David is survived by his wife, Debbie Elliott Seay; his mother, Patsy Dean Rhodes Seay; three step-daughters, Charity (Chris) Ramsey of Georgetown, KY, Candice (Andrew) Cochrum of Golo, KY and Christa (Ryan) Towery of Lynnville, KY; one brother, Dale Seay of Lynnville, KY; one sister, Rhonda Seay of Lynnville, KY; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Allen Seay.
Funeral services for David Nelson Seay will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Mykel Tidwell and Richie Spann will officiate. Interment will follow at Lynnville Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ray Keith Mathis, Eddie Elder, Roy Lee Guthrie, Kent Parm, David Curtsinger, Paul Caldwell, Bryce Parm and Jimmy Cates. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Parm, Jimmy Parm, Mark Elliott, Michael Elliott, Keith Elliott, Stan Elliott, John Wilson, Danny Howard and Brad Rickman.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the funeral home. The family requests that masks be worn.
