Katherine “Kat” Nelson Brackett, 64 of Benton, KY died on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Mercy Health – Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY.
Kathy retired as a financial administrator for American General. She was an animal lover and loved her pets. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and especially loved to fish.
Born Saturday, September 21, 1957 in Memphis, TN, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Nelson and the late Dorothy (Sage) Nelson.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Brackett of Benton, KY; son, Samuel Brackett of Benton, KY; daughter, Tiffany Cavanaugh of Hardin, KY; grandchildren, Sophia Brackett, Chloe Cavanaugh, Wyatt Cavanaugh; and longtime best friend, Nancy Covington of Olive Branch, MS.
Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Benton, KY.
