Mr. Charles W. Estes, age 80 of Murray, KY died on Friday, August 20, 2021, at Murray-Calloway Co. Hospital in Murray, KY. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church. He was retired from Hutson Grain Terminal where he worked as a manager.
Born Tuesday, May 27, 1941 in Marshall County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Wilson Estes and the late Eunice (Henson) Woods.
Surviving are son, Tracy Scott Estes, wife Rejeania of Dexter, KY, sisters, Jean Lovett of Benton, KY and Janice Dowdy (his caregiver and ride around town) of Murray, KY; 2 grandchildren, Tanner Estes and Tylena Estes both of Benton, KY; and 1 great-grandchild, Hunter Estes of Benton, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Charles Kenneth “Kenny” Estes and sister, Jo Wanda Lompery.
A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Brett Miles officiating.
Interment will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens, Murray, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Collier Funeral Home.
