Oleta Ray Hamlet, age 81, of Symsonia, KY, passed away Monday, August 9, 2021 at her home.
She was born on August 18, 1939 in Symsonia to her late parents, Raymond and Imagene Kelley Lyles. Oleta worked for the Graves County Board of Education in the cafeteria at Symsonia School and was a member at Clarks River Baptist Church.
Oleta is survived by her daughter, Shannon Hamlet and husband, Eric van der Mast, of Paducah; two step-grandchildren, Hannah van der Mast and Eli van der Mast.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Hamlet.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Bolton Cemetery in Symsonia.
