Mr. James Dolphus Stubblefield, 82

Mr. James Dolphus Stubblefield, 82, of Hazel, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Murray Calloway County Hospital.

Mr. Stubblefield was born on January 13, 1939 in Calloway County to the late John Rutledge and Rozelle Tempe Wilson Stubblefield. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a member of Hazel Baptist Church. Mr. Stubblefield was a certified master mechanic and heavy equipment operator. James was a man of many skills, too many to name. He loved to work and could fix just about anything. He will be dearly missed by many.

He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lindsey Rose Oliver, in addition to his parents.

Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include his loving wife of almost 51 years, Connie Stubblefield of Hazel; a son, James “Jimmy” Stubblefield (Amber) of Paducah; daughters, Jacqueline “Jackie” Canter (Jody) of Mayfield, Debbie Oliver (David) of Murray; grandchildren, William and Jacob Oliver both of Murray, Lauren and Joseph Canter of Mayfield, Ava and Cora Stubblefield of Paducah.

The funeral service for Mr. James Stubblefield is set for 11 AM on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home, 1804 Highway 121 Bypass North, Murray. Jordan Roach will officiate and entombment with military honors to follow at Murray Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers include Kenny Imes, Bill Marcum, Scott Barrow, Will Oliver, Jacob Oliver, Tommy Vance and Robert Houston.

His family welcomes visitors from 5 PM – 8 PM on Friday, May 28, 2021 at the Heritage Chapel.
