
Hat tricks from Kallen Fuller and Kelsey Crass led the Lady Marshals in Thursday’s 10-1 win at home over Paducah Tilghman.
They led 5-1 at haltime, two goals each in the half from Fuller and Crass and the fifth from Mia Teague. Fuller scored the first goal on an assist from Teague, then Teague scored one of her own to make it a 2-0 game on an assist from Crass. Fuller scored the third on an assist from Crass before Tilghman got on the board on a goal by Shelby Nickal for a 3-1 game.
Crass on an assist from Jen Devore made it 4-1 and she followed it up with her second goal of the first half to give the Lady Marshals a 5-1 halftime lead.
Five second half goals came from Hope Howard, Peyton Lamb, Crass and Fuller to complete their hat tricks and Devore with the 10th goal in the 10-1 win.
They outshot Tilghman 35-5. Goalkeepers had a combined four saves, Parker Perry with one and Phoebe Ramsey had three. Tilghman keeper Jaelynn Carver recorded 10 saves.
The Lady Marshals will head to Bowling Green on Saturday to play a JV-Varsity double-header against Greenwood, the first game getting underway at 10:00 a.m. Greenwood opened on Wednesday with a 4-0 win over Warren Central. The Lady Gators are the reigning 2019 State Champions.
