Jerry Dwain Camper, 81 of the Griggstown community, died on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at his residence.
Born Wednesday, January 18, 1939 in Calvert City, KY, he was the son of the late Jesse Camper and the late Ruby (Davis) Camper.
He was a lifetime member of the Calvert City Gun Club, the former Southeast Bowling Congress Singles champion and Kentucky State Bowling champion. He was a member of Faith Gospel Temple in Gilbertsville.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda (Sheppard) Camper of Griggstown, KY; son, Donnie Camper wife Sarah of Hoschton, GA; daughter, Cindy Riley husband Mark of Eddyville, KY; sister, Cathy Edwards husband Rodney of Ledbetter, KY; grandchild, Aaron Camper wife Bethany of St. Augustine, FL; and great grandchild, Glenn Charles Camper whos arrival is anticipated in August of 2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry Camper; and sisters, Virginia Brasher and Jean Martin.
A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025 with the Rev. Mark Shumaker officiating.
Interment will be in Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, July 20, 2020, at Collier Funeral Home. There will also be visitation held from 11:00 AM until the service hour of 1:00 PM on Tuesday.
