Mr. “Dub” William David Anderson, 86 died on Monday, April 29, 2019, at Marshall Co. Hospital in Benton, Kentucky. He was retired from General Tire where he worked in the Shipping Department and was a veteran of the US Army.
Born Tuesday, November 15, 1932 in Dukedom, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Roy Anderson and the late Maggie (McClure) Anderson.
Surviving are his wife, Retha (Wadkins) Anderson of Benton, KY, son, David Anderson, wife Kimberly of Columbia, TN, daughters, Lee Ann Holt, husband Danny of Benton, KY and Teresa Leach, husband Armand of Benton, KY, sister, Mary Katherine Clapp of Wingo, KY, grandchildren, Andrea Holt, Matt Holt, wife Regina, Alissa Siegle, husband Kyle, Ashley Hayden, husband Ryan, Kristen Anderson, Kami Anderson, fiance’ Ethan DeWitt, and great-grandchildren, Elli McIntyre, Tanner Siegle, Lainee Siegle, Elizabeth Holt, and anticipating the arrival of his newest great grandson, Nolan Hayden, who is expected in August of 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, June (Treas) Anderson, infant daughter, Dianne Anderson, brother, Kenneth Anderson, and sister, Martha Sue Dunevant.
A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, Kentucky 42025 with Rev. Mark Thweatt and Danny Holt officiating.
Interment with military rites will follow in Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Collier Funeral Home.
