Benton residents involved in crash that left two injured

Two Benton residents were involved in a car accident that sent two to the hospital Monday in McCracken County.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department, Jackson Castleberry, 20, of Benton was driving east on I-24 with passenger Misti Miller, 38, also of Benton, about 3:59 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, when he rear-ended a car stuck in traffic. Police say the vehicle, a Subaru Outback driven by Kristopher Woodhull, 37, of Orlando, Fla., had slowed to accommodate traffic flow hindered by another accident.

Woodhull’s passengers, Carman Castle, 42, and Derek Frohn, 21, both of Orlando, Fla., were taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries not deemed life-threatening.

Mercy Regional EMS, Caldwell County EMS, Paducah Towing, Vanzant’s Towing and Reidland/Farley Fire Department assisted on scene.
