South Marshall students complete Project-Based Learning Project

Students, in Mrs. Patricia Murphy’s 7th grade science class, recently completed a Project Based Lesson over the Human Body System.

In groups, students worked together to research and construct on an assigned body system.

They were required to present the main functions of their body system, and create a functioning demonstration of how it worked.

To further extend the project, students linked their body system to plants and told what organs in a plant serve the same function as their system.

They also linked their body system to animals, and discussed three animals that have adaptations with their body system, that allow them to survive in their ecosystem.
