
DRAFFENVILLE – The last Lady Marshal loss came at Graves County 42-38 on January 13th, and since that game they have won the next six in a row and were not ready to repeat history Friday in their homecoming game.
Marshall County trailed most of the first quarter with the exception of an opening basket from Lexee Miller and the Lady Eagles led 9-6 at the end of the quarter.

Three straight baskets by Hannah Langhi gave the Lady Marshals a 12-9 lead early in the second quarter and she would go on to score 13 of their 14 second quarter points. Graves County tied the game 16-16 on a basket by Danielle Waggoner but three more points from Langhi who was fouled, making the free throw, put the Lady Marshals back up by three and they would lead 20-18 at halftime.
Langhi scored the first two baskets of the second half to put the Lady Marshals up by four, cut to one point on a 3-pointer by Lyndi Qualls. Another three point play from Langhi put them back up by four, Zippora Johnson cut the lead back to two and a free throw by Miyah Davis put the lead at three before a foul on Raychel Mathis at the buzzer sent her to the line for the Lady Eagles, making both to end the third quarter on a 28-27 Marshall County lead.
Mathis began the fourth quarter the same way she ended the third by sinking two more free throws to put the Lady Eagles up 29-28. Four lead changes later with 3:52 to go, a three by Qualls tied the game 36-36 and from there the Lady Marshals finished the game out on a 9-0 run and a nine point win.
Langhi led all scorers with 28 points, had 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. Qualls led Graves County with 13 points. The 22-4 Lady Marshals have four games left in the regular season with a big game on Tuesday at Murray. The first meeting with the Lady Tigers resulted in a 65-38 loss in the seventh game of the season.
