Local college opens doors for prospective students with comprehensive support services
(PADUCAH, Ky.)-West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) will host “Discover Your Path” on Tuesday, July 29th, offering prospective students a one-stop opportunity to explore their educational options and receive assistance with enrollment.
The event, scheduled from 8 AM to 6 PM at the Anderson Technical Building on campus, aims to provide comprehensive support for individuals at various stages of their educational journey. Whether students are fresh out of high school, returning to school after time away, or simply exploring their options, the college is offering personalized assistance to help them navigate the enrollment process.
“We want to make it as easy as possible for students to take that next step,” said Whitney Walker, Director of Marketing and Communications. The event will feature one-on-one support sessions covering crucial areas including admissions guidance, academic advising, financial aid assistance, and class registration.
The college is encouraging not only potential students to attend but also their parents and guardians, recognizing the important role families play in educational decisions. To create a welcoming atmosphere, WKCTC will provide free Kona Ice refreshments and offer prizes throughout the day.
One of the key features of the event is its accessibility – no appointments are necessary. Attendees can simply show up during the 10-hour window and receive the support they need.
The Student Services Day reflects WKCTC’s commitment to removing barriers to higher education and providing personalized support to help students discover their academic and career paths. The college continues to position itself as a launching pad for students’ futures in the region.
