The preliminary investigation indicates that at 11:44 p.m. CT on Monday, June 16, the Murray Police Department had responded to a residence on Brooklyn Dr. after receiving a 911 call that an individual was acting irradically and had a weapon. Upon the arrival of five Murray Police officers, a male subject, identified as 23-year-old Eric W. Saxton, exited the residence running toward officers with a weapon in his hand.
