Daytime Lane Restriction Planned on I-24 near the Cumberland River Bridge on June 30 and July 1

Motorists urged to use appropriate caution

PADUCAH, Ky. (June 27, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is planning a daytime lane restriction on Interstate 24 near the Cumberland River Bridge at the Livingston-Lyon County Line for two days next week.

On Monday, June 30, crews will be working in the right-hand lane along I-24 westbound between mile markers 33 and 35. Crews will be brush cutting behind the guardrails approaching the bridge.

On Tuesday, July 1, the same work will take place between mile markers 33 and 35 but in the right-hand lane on I-24 eastbound.

Work will begin at 7 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 5:30 p.m. each day, weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert for signage and trucks with arrow boards guiding traffic into the left-hand lane in the work zone. Please use caution.
