The Marshall County Public Library is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its brand-new outdoor space, designed to serve as a hub for library programming and community events. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on Tuesday, July 2 at 11:00 a.m. at the Benton branch of library and will feature free popsicles and kid-friendly activities.
This innovative outdoor area was thoughtfully designed in collaboration with Justin Barrett of CMS Architects and Evan McDaniel of Element Design. The result is a versatile and inviting environment that expands the library’s offerings beyond its walls.
Open during regular library hours, the outdoor space can be reserved just like any meeting room. At the heart of the design is a small amphitheater, seating up to 35 children or 20 adults, ideal for performances, story times, and presentations. The library will also offer a variety of outdoor equipment for checkout, making it easy for visitors to fully enjoy the space.

“This new space allows us to take our programs outdoors and provide the community with more ways to connect, learn, and relax,” said Library Director Tammy Blackwell.
The community is invited to join in the celebration on July 2. Come enjoy the new space, grab a popsicle, and explore all the outdoors now holds at The Marshall County Public Library.
