Always the entrepreneur, he owned many businesses. He was most known for Midtown Drive-In and Ron’s Longhorn Restaurant, where he greeted everyone with a smile and had a way of making everyone feel special. He was well known as a UK Wildcats fan and never missed watching a basketball game to cheer them on. Ron was known and loved by many and was an asset to the community.
Mr. Chapman is survived by one son, Jackie Chapman of Mayfield, KY; one daughter, Shellie (Paul) Wingate of Frankfort, KY; one brother, Michael (Linda) Chapman of Mayfield, KY; one sister, Kay Bradford of Mayfield, KY; and three grandchildren, Ryan Potter, Isaac Chapman and Jackson Chapman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Elizabeth Dick Chapman.
There are no services scheduled at this time. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
