Marilyn Sue (Darnell) Bazzell, 86, of Kirksey, KY, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024, at her home.
She was born January 4, 1938, in Calloway Co., KY, to the late Clay C. and Ann F. (Parker) Darnell. Marilyn was a homemaker and worked as a caregiver for both children and senior adults. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Those left behind to cherish memories of Marilyn are her children, Billie Moore (Kim) Bazzell, Jr. and Kenneth Dale (Sherri) Bazzell of Kirksey, KY; sister, Carol (Dan) Chapman of Anna, Texas; brother-in-law, Gary Price of Murray, KY; grandchildren, Sara Ann Bazzell and Clayton Paul Bazzell, Austin Blake Elkins, Brian Jordan Elkins and Ross Allen (Dani) Elkins; also, five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Billie Moore Bazzell, Sr., who passed away on October 17, 1978, and her sister, Phyllis Price.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Murray City Cemetery, Murray, KY. Johnny Parker will officiate, burial will follow the service.
In honoring Marilyn’s wishes, no public visitation will be held.
