He was a member of Lynnville Baptist Church and a retired auto repairman and farmer.
Mr. Foy is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carolyn Lee Foy; one son, Jimmy (Gwen) Elkins of Hopkinsville, KY; two daughters, Debbie Kaler and Belinda (Randy) Adams both of Mayfield, KY; one brother, Robert (Becca) Foy of Lowes, KY; two sisters, Gladys Sadler of Mayfield, KY and Glenda (Tom) Jones of Eddyville, KY; six grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Cathy Harpole; one granddaughter, Ashley Adams Hansrote; two brothers, Johnny Foy and J.C. Foy; three sisters, Joyce Coleman, Shirley Elmore and Sue Dowdy; and his parents William and Ruell Bruce Foy.
Funeral services for Mr. William “Daddy Mutt” Foy, Jr. will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Stephen Peal will officiate. Interment will follow at Lynnville Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Scott Hansrote, James Davis, Trey Davis, Josh Ward, Jake Ward, Blake Petty and Craig Foy. Honorary pallbearers will be David Gann, Barry Sadler, Bobby Sadler, Dwayne Elmore, Mike Foy, Paul Gann, John Foy, Larry Wiggins and Dan Boyd.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023 at the funeral home.
