John G. Kipers III, 71, of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, September 7th, 2023 at his place of residence.
John was born to the late John G., Jr. and Frieda Weeks in Washington State on March 5th, 1952. John was known as a loving and upbeat family man. He possessed a positive attitude and outlook that was noted by all those around him. He was a lover of gospel music and enjoyed singing in his church choir at Gospel Mission Church. He was a golf fanatic and even hit a hole in one, not once, but twice in the same year at Benton Country Club.
John is survived by his wife of 26 years, Debbie Kipers; one daughter, Krystal Dinkel (Jason) of Valley Center, Kansas; one son, Jacob Kipers (Natasha) of Wichita, Kansas; three step daughters, Angela Morris (Ryan) of Benton, Trista Larkin (Jay) of Benton, and Jenna Crouch (David) of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Anita Klingenberg; eight grandchildren, Gracie Bowman (Dominic) of Wichita, Kansas, Dylan Larkin, Olivia Larkin, Ben Larkin, Lawson Morris, Dax Morris, all of Benton and Ellie Crouch and Copeland Crouch of Murray.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Karen Kipers-Turner, Patricia Hurlburt and his parents.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2023 at Life Celebrations of Filbeck-Cann, 1003 Poplar Street, Benton, Kentucky 42025.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2023 at Life Celebrations of Filbeck-Cann, 1003 Poplar Street, Benton, Kentucky 42025 with Bro. Jim Wright and Bro. Jeremy Hudgen officiating. Burial to follow at Marshall County Memory Gardens.
