James Oliver West, 75, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
James was born on July 14, 1948 to the late John Henry and Mabelene Higgins West in Benton, Kentucky. He was an iron worker and member of the Ironworkers Local #782. He was also a member of Free Spirit Biker Church.
James is survived by his daughter, Gail West Roberston (Austin) from Palatka, Florida; his significant other, Aleshia West of Paducah; two sisters, Kim Krawchuk of Paducah and Darlene Mayfield of Texas; two brothers, Doug West and Joe West, both of Paducah; twenty grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Clark; four sons, James Allen West, James West, Jr., Don Allen West and Alan Lynn West; previous wife, Brenda West; four sisters, Barbara Jean West, Loretta “Cricket” Smith, Linda Vick and Wanda Dowdy; three brothers, Johnny West, Ricky Pittsenburger and Donald West.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Dennis Lawrence officianting. Burial will follow at Haymes Cemetery in Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, August 7, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
