Reba “Dodo” Tapp, age 78 of Kevil, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 29, 2023 at her residence.
“Dodo” was born on April 21, 1945 to the late Cornelius and Virgie Madie Dixon Smith in Wadesville, Indiana. She was a retired, self-employed bookeeper and very active in the Baptist faith.
“Dodo” is survived by her husband of 59 years, John Wallace Tapp; two daughters, Margaret Siress (Jeff) of Benton, Kentucky and Rebecca Tapp of New York, New York; two grandchildren, Maidie Siress and Kiefer Siress; one sister, Myrna Dusak of Lexington, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Sandra Rowley of Morganfield, Kentucky; her friend and neighbor, Vicki Rudolph of Kevil; and her loving dog, Harper.
“Dodo” is preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Gibbons; and a brother, BJ Smith.
A memorial visitation will be held from 12:00p.m. until 2:00p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
