Audie Maxine Mefford Watson, 76, of Bardwell, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at her home.
Audie was born in Duncan, Oklahoma on January 16, 1947 to the late Jack and Martha Mefford. She was a member of Bardwell Methodist Church and recently attended Arlington Methodist Church. Audie worked for many years as a nurse with Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. She was a kind and loving woman who had a passion for caring for those around her, including many children in her community. Audie loved to spend her free time sewing and making made-made quilts for family and friends.
Audie is survived by her two sisters, Patsy (Steve) Wilson and Loretta (John) Herndon; a brother, Derrell (Ronda) Mefford; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Risley, Shawn Gessell, Greg Gessell, Christopher Gessell, Jennifer Gessell, Ashley Dowdy, Tyler Cordell and Autumn Cordell; and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Kenneth Lee Watson; a daughter, Sarah Krone; two sons, Bill Cordell and Jack Burleson; her twin sister, Carol Ann Mefford; and her parents.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Roselawn Cemetery in Bardwell with Rev. Keith Osborne officiating. Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell is in charge of arrangements.
