Mrs. Bertie Mae Hamlet, age 83, of Mayfield passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022 at her residence.
She was a member of High Point Baptist Church and a retired employee of Mayfield City School System.
Mrs. Hamlet is survived by two sons, Jackie Lee (Marie) Hamlet of Cottontown, TN and David Wayne (Diana) Hamlet of Charlottesville, VA; two daughters, Denise Hamlet and Judy Hamlet both of Mayfield, KY; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lee Hamlet; four brothers, Glen Kaler, Chester Kaler, Garland Kaler and Wayne Brooks Kaler; and her parents, Lexie Buran and Annie Gunn Kaler.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bertie Mae Hamlet will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Darrick Holloman and Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Sr. will officiate. Interment will follow at Trace Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at the funeral home.
