(FRANKFORT, Ky.) (May 22, 2026) — Flags at all Kentucky state buildings will be lowered to half-staff from sunrise until noon on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.
The gesture honors military service members who died in service to the United States.
Individuals, businesses, organizations and government agencies across the state are encouraged to participate in the tribute. Information on flag status is available at governor.ky.gov/flag-status.
Memorial Day is observed nationally on the last Monday of May each year.
