(EDDYVILLE, Ky.) (April 21, 2026) – Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 1 troopers have arrested an Illinois man following an investigation into physical and sexual assault allegations that occurred at a campground in Eddyville, Ky. earlier this month.
On April 3, 2026, KSP Post 1 received a call from a law enforcement agency in Indiana advising they had a victim report to a local hospital that she had been physically and sexually abused at a location in Eddyville, Ky. The victim reported having been held against her will at a camper in Eddy Vegas Campground and subjected to physical and sexual abuse before she was able to leave and return home to Indiana.
An initial investigation resulted in a warrant of arrest issued for Timothy E. Doe, 28 years old of Chicago, Il., for the offense of Strangulation 1st Degree. On April 10, 2026, Mr. Doe was located in Eddyville and arrested in compliance with the warrant. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
Further investigation led to discovery of additional evidence that resulted in additional charges being brought against Mr. Doe. On April 15, 2026, Mr. Doe was charged with Rape 1st Degree (Domestic Violence), Sodomy 1st Degree (Domestic Violence) and Kidnapping of an Adult. He remained lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
