Man Airlifted After Being Found Injured in Kentucky Lake

(MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky.) — Emergency responders rescued an injured man from Kentucky Lake Monday night after reports of an unmanned boat circling in the water.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Marshall County Rescue Squad, East Marshall Fire Department, Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, Marshall County EMS, and Air Evac air ambulance services.

According to initial reports, witnesses called 911 after observing a boat traveling in circles with no one visible onboard. First responders located a male victim in the water suffering from severe injuries to his upper torso.

Due to the extent of his injuries, the man was airlifted by Air Evac to a regional medical center for treatment. His current condition has not been released.

The incident remains under investigation. Authorities have not yet disclosed how the man became separated from the vessel or the cause of his injuries.

Marshall County officials thanked all responding agencies and dispatch personnel for their coordination during the rescue effort. The victim’s family has requested prayers for his recovery.
