(CALVERT CITY, Ky.) — The Kentucky Lake Chamber of Commerce will present its prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award to Gayle M. Hall at this week’s Annual Awards Dinner, a sold-out event themed “Glitz and Glamour: A Gatsby Gala.”

The ceremony will take place Thursday, November 13, at the Calvert City Civic Center recognizing Marshall County’s outstanding businesses and community leaders.

Hall, a lifelong Marshall County resident and 1976 graduate of Marshall County High School, built a distinguished career in insurance spanning more than three decades. After attending Murray State University and working at Mr. J’s Men’s Clothing Store, he joined Horace Mann Insurance Company, eventually rising to Manager of Kentucky Agents.

In 1991, Hall acquired Calvert City Insurance, Inc., developing it into one of the area’s most trusted agencies. He transitioned ownership to Tyler and Kayla Austin in 2024 and continues representing Four Rivers Calvert City Insurance.

Beyond his business success, Hall has been a fixture in civic life. He served three terms on the Kentucky Lake Chamber of Commerce Board, including as Chairman, and served as Past President of the Paducah Area Life Underwriters and Financial Advisers.

Local sports fans and community members will recognize Hall’s voice from WCCK Radio, where he provided play-by-play commentary for Marshall County High School soccer games and hosted “What’s Going On,” a long-running program spotlighting people and progress in Calvert City and the Kentucky Lakes Area.

His community service includes directing the Kentucky Lake Invitational Soccer Tournament for a decade and serving on the Heritage Bank Community Board, Calvert City Community Advisory Team, and the Marshall County Schools Local Planning Committee. That committee helped guide development of the MCHS Auxiliary Gymnasium, Kenneth Shadowen Performing Arts Center, and North and South Marshall Middle Schools.

Hall also served as President of the Western Kentucky Youth Camp and on the President’s Council of Athletics at Freed-Hardeman University. He currently serves as an Elder at Calvert City Church of Christ.

Hall and his wife Wava have been married for 46 years. They have two sons, Dr. Marshall Hall of Franklin, Tennessee, and Dr. Devin Hall of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and six grandchildren.
